Bastet in Lake Oswego

Gallery Without Walls

Bastet Public Art

Located on the South West Corner of A Street and Second Street in Lake Oswego, OR.

Bastet, the Feline Goddess of Egyptian Lore, is a faithful interpertation of this 4,000 year old Goddess by sculptor Robert H Foster. Cast in Bronze using the lost wax process with a cobalt patina the cat stands 18 in. tall. The lost wax process is the same as that used in ancient Egypt.

The pedestal is in an obelisk form at four foot tall. It is constructed of sheet steel finished in polyurethane to withstand the north west elements. The entire sculpture positions Bastet at eye level.
